I began focusing on directing in 1995 while working as a Resident Artist at Cornell's Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts. I developed a flair for off-beat comedy and the eccentric characters found in farce. My background as an actor gives me a clear understanding of how a show works from the inside-out.
Under the mentorship of Robert Moss, David Feldshuh, Bruce Levitt, Rachel Lampert and Timothy Bond I have developed a stong, pragmatic approach to mounting plays that respects both the need for exceptional production values and the material realities involved at all levels of production, whether it be in regional theater, stock, or acacdemic productions.
