I begain studying music at the age of 10 and have performed as a singer,  percussionist and guitarist on stage and with various bands for 50 years.   I've also brought my musical skills to the theater in various forms, teaching myself to play piano, mandolin, bodhrán, concertina and banjolele for various productions.

I've made music with two good friends - John Burns and Steve Taylor - in an assortment of bands for nearly 50 years.    In 2006 we formed a songwriting and producing team,"Old Scots" and have released four albums and an assortment of singles:
